Magicians and Chubby Women

It’s a good thing for magicians that skinny women are what’s considered attractive, because back in medieval times, plump women were all the rage, and they wouldn’t fit as well into the thingy where you saw her in two.

  1. And unlike skinny girls, chubby ladies like me get to have an adjective named after one of the great Baroque masters: Peter Paul Rubens. His paintings featured lots of curvy and chubby women as subjects, and these ladies were so ubiquitous in his paintings that the term “Rubenesque” was coined to describe them.
